Why do companies not hire sex offenders or people with criminal records?

It depends on the crime & the job. I would understand with clearing that person record if they are like 25 & made a small mistake of stealing when they were 18 or 19 but stayed clean because teenagers make mistakes it's in our blood. But sex offenders idk it should clear because if someone is living In a neighborhood near kids & daycare/schools & thier record is clear thn they could possibly do it again becase families wouldn't be notified of it. Plus I wouldn't allow a sex offender to be a child doctor, a teacher or a family therapist I mean look at it. Same as a soemoen with a burglary charge shouldn't be Allowed to work in a bank. Small misdemeanors should be over looks though.
