I'm going away to prison to serve 2 years, i might get out in 1. who should i hang out with?

i'm heading to a facility with extra security. problem is i heard all the inmates stick with each other. The blacks stick with the blacks, the whites with whites, mexican with mexican.....but i'm indian (as in east indian)....i don't know of any indians in jail and i doubt there will be many where i will be so does this mean i'm a deer in the headlights for the other inmates?
